The Wildlife Conservation Fund, founded in 2010, has a clear mission to save wildlife and wilderness across the J&K. Our story began in early 2000’s when we campaigned to protect migratory birds at the wetlands in Pampore, Kashmir against poaching. Today, we protect many of the J&K’s iconic creatures including Hangul (Kashmiri Stag), Snow Leopard, Western Tragopan and many more.
During last 2 years, we have focused the power of our conservation work and management on Dachigam National Park, Conservation Reserves of Khrew and Khanmoh and Wetland Reserves in Pampore, Kashmir.
We currently manage about 1 National Park, 2 Conservation Reserves & 4 Wetland Reserves, and educate students on important issues affecting our wildlife in the State of J&K.
